Two Thame pupils have completed a run around their school sports field for a cystic fibrosis charity.

Harry Langsbury, 13, has the disease and decided to organise the run to raise awareness of cystic fibrosis and to assist with the funding to find a cure.

Harry enlisted friend and fellow Lord Williams’s Lower School student Will Tinegate, 12, to take part in the two mile run.

The pair had hoped to raise around £160 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, but thanks to generous donations from friends, family and members of the school they generated £360 for the cause.

Cystic fibrosis is one of the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited diseases, affecting more than 9,000 people. It affects the internal organs by clogging them with thick mucus.
