An overgrown Aylesbury grot spot has been sorted by the town council.
Land next to an underpass under Friarage Road to the railway station has been overgrown for some time.
The county council is responsible for the site but the town council decided to take the matter into its own hands after a lack of action.
The authority hopes to be able to take responsibility for the land in the future.
The Mayor of Aylesbury, Councillor Steve Patrick, said: “I don’t know if they’re relying on us but we have taken it on because we want the town to look good. They gave us the roundabouts, I’m sure they can find a way of giving us that land.”
