THIS month’s First Thursday Music Club night promises to be bigger than ever.
The open mic night in the Stables at the James Figg pub on Thursday, February 3, is already shaping up to be quite a night of entertainment.
A feature act, six solo artists, four different bands and jams are all lined up to take part so far.
The February event promises to match its predecessors with the feature slot being given to internationally successful songwriter, Martin Sutton.
Martin has written hits for Celine Dion, The Backstreet Boys, LeAnn Rimes, Olivia Newton John, Mike and the Mechanics and worked with Gary Barlow, Pixie Lott and Mike Rutherford.
The most exciting news is that he is also promising a surprise support artist.
Regardless of this the First Thursday Music Club exists to provide a platform and an audience for performers of all styles and experience.
Whether you are someone looking to play in front of an audience for the first time or you are a grizzled old muso, the club gives players the chance for some stage time.
Sign up for acts starts at 7.45pm with the first act usually on stage by 8.30 pm. As usual entry is free to all.
