Thame produced an emphatic victory over second-placed Buckingham at Church Meadow in the Cherwell League Division One.
Asked to bat first, all the Thame top order got starts without progressing to big scores but the run rate was set at a good level for the home side to get a good score.
Laubscher, Sutcliffe and Sunney all made useful contributions, with the latter hitting a fine 41.
The innings was given an added impetus when Will Rooney stepped up to the crease and also struck a quickfire 41 to finish on 242 all out.
While producing a solid innings Thame had their bowlers to thank as they tore apart Buckingham’s batsmen.
Sam Lachlan had Thame dreaming early on as he removed the dangerous Rob Large in the second over.
His bowling day as a triumph as he finished with 3 for 28 and John Maynard when better taking an excellent 4 for 32.
Rooney had a fantastic all round day as he continued his good form since returning to the club with 3 for 38.
Only Simon Myatt made any significant score for Buckingham with 72 as they were all out for 127.
The win is Thame’s second in four and they next take on Oxford 2’s away on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Thame’s Seconds were curtailed by rain at Oxford, whilst the Thirds lost away at Wallingford.
