Waterside launches first youth theatre production

Budding young thespians are invited to explore their creativity in an exciting new project at the town’s Waterside.

The Aylesbury theatre has announced its first ever youth musical theatre production.

And youngsters aged from eight to 21 could find themselves on the beautiful stage.

There will be a chance to explore writing and performing skills.

The theatre is working in conjunction with Flametree Productions to bring the project alive.

Led by a professional creative team and rehearsed in the theatre itself, particpants will have the chance to write, create and perform in the brand new musical production.

The project is seeking enthusiastic young performers and musicians in the eight to 21 age range to take part and perform in three live shows on the Waterside stage during August.

Open workshops for developing ideas for the brand new musical will take place during the school Easter holidays on Monday March 30 and Monday April 13.

Rehearsals will then take place at the theatre in August from Monday 10 through to Thursday 20.

The final polished performances will also take place in August on Friday 21 and Saturday 22, at the Waterside Theatre.

The project will cost £225 for performers and £175 for musicians.
