Temperatures across the Vale are set to rise in the coming days.

The Met Office is forecasting rain showers tomorrow with a high of around nine degrees.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to remain dry and overcast, with a high of between eight or nine degrees.

This evening (Thursday) temperatures are expected to hover at around minus-one or zero degrees.

Meanwhile Transport for Buckinghamshire has revealed it gritted the county’s roads 20 times since October (pictured).

A spokesman said: “Spreading salt on the roads is most effective when the gritting lorry can complete the route without getting stuck in traffic. “It is also helpful to get the salt down before the road temperature drops in the evening and then before the morning rush hour.

“The runs are usually carried out at 7pm and/or at 4am.

“As of December 13, since the beginning of the winter season in October, the gritters had been out 20 times.”
