BIG crowds are expected to descend upon Thame’s newest festival Music in the Park on Sunday.

Headline acts will include tributes to both Madness and Elton John and they will be supported by a number of local bands.

Three stages have been set up for the festival, all of which will have live music throughout the day and evening.

Organiser Steve Gunn said: “We just hope everybody in Thame can come down, enjoy the atmosphere and have a fantastic day out.

“There will be music for everybody on the three stages performed by all ages, we have children aged just 12 but also have some people around 60 years old.”

Other attractions will also include a specially-designed children’s area, where they can make their own jewellery or fairy wings and also take part in a DJ workshop.

Mr Gunn said: “The children’s tent will be great for families as kids can come along and enjoy face painting or the bouncy castle so it really does offer something for all ages.”

There will also be a range of food stands for refreshments.

Several hundred tickets have already been sold, with more available on the day, priced £8 for an adult.
