A THAME property developer donated £1,000 towards the town’s Christmas lights switch-on event.
David Wilson Homes Southern is supporting Thame Town Council with its festive celebrations by sponsoring the Christmas event tonight (Friday).
Mayor David Bretherton said: “Thame has a great community feel and without the support of local businesses like David Wilson Homes we would be less able to put on these festive themed events and activities for our residents.
“The tree will be officially lit up on Friday during Thame’s big Christmas lights event.”
The Christmas lights event takes place on Friday from 6pm. It will feature market stalls, entertainment, a skating rink as well as the big light switch-on. The Skating Rink and dry ski slope are open from 3pm to 6.30pm.
Sales director Paul Moran said: “Christmas festivities such as the skating rink are a great way to help get the local community into the festive spirit.
“We hope the donation can ensure the town is buzzing with joyful activity throughout the Christmas period and long into the New Year.”
